Hello -- I hope everyone is enjoying this Memorial Day weekend. We had some very nasty storms move through yesterday, but today it's sunny and very warm. Not normally my kind of weather but after yesterday I will take it:)))
On Saturday I took the first class of Victoria Sampler's Happy Hearts. This was a Stitcherama class offered online only and it was just wonderful. Thea was live chatting with us and showing all the different stitch videos for the various stitches used in the piece. All of the videos were very clear and very easy to understand.. I enjoyed the class so much that I am signing up for the next one which is in September (a Gingerbread Tree Etiu)
Here is the 2nd panel of the Happy Hearts Sweet bag we are making. I need to complete the stitches at the bottom and add the satin stitch border.
On Friday of this week, I am going to Inspired Needle to participate in a stitch-a-long for Brenda Gervais' Mystery Sampler. Don't the colors look wonderful? But before that I'm taking a wool applique class tomorrow at Pieceful Gathering in Fox River Grove. This is the little table mat we are going to make:
Over the weekend I had a case of "startiritus" and finally settled on Jenny Bean's Humble Servant Sampler. The picture on the graph does NOT do this piece justice. It's much better in real life with all the purples and greens. I'm stitching this on 40ct Vintage Exampler with Sampler Threads.
I've enjoyed a nice long weekend and have lots of things to look forward to this week. Have a great week too and thanks for stopping by. I appreciate all the comments you take the time to leave:)))
